Meeting of His Excellency with Minister for Home Affairs Government of Andhra Pradesh. His Excellency Mr. Mahmoud Safari Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran called upon Mrs. P. Sabitha Indira Reddy Honorable Minister for Home, jails, fire Services, Sainik welfare, Printing and Stationery, Government of Andhra Pradesh on 21st October 2009 at her office at Secretariat while exchanging the official greetings His Excellency spoke about the Problems faced by Iranian Students studying in various Institutions of Higher Education in Hyderabad Such As. **The Extension of visa for students which is for a period of six months as it use to be for a period of one year and in some of the countries it is for the period up to completion of studies. ** For the purpose of grant of extension a student has to call on the Foreigners Registration office several times which can be done with a short span of time. ** Since last few months the FRO is asking Iranian students to produce a picture of the land lord along with the rental agreement which looks very unfamiliar and unacceptable. Honorable Minister while agreeing with His Excellency instructed her Personal Secretary to look in to the matter and intimate the same to this Mission. |
