Two day Visit of H.E.Mr.Sayed Mahdi Nabizadeh Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran for India to The City of Hyderabad.

   

         His Excellency Mr. Sayed Mahdi Nabizadeh Honorable Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Visited Historical City of Hyderabad from 11th to 13th December 2007.

          On 12thDecember His Excellency  participated in a joint Seminar on “Investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and Iran” Organized jointly by the Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran- Hyderabad and Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries at Surana Udayoug Bhavan, Federation Building, Red Hills , Dr. J. Geeta Reddy Honorable Minister for Major Industries , commerce and Sugar. Government of Andhra Pradesh was  the Chief Guest .

            In his Speech the honorable Ambassador after presenting a brief scenario of the developments in Islamic Republic of Iran and the growth of the National GDP to an average of  6% per year and expected to reach higher spoke about the Indo- Iranian Business tie which has reached 9.3 Billion U.S. Dollars for the year 2006-07 out of which 7.8 billion constituted the exports from Iran and 1.49 billion was the value of the goods India exported to Iran.

           His Excellency Mr. Hossein Ravesh Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran at Hyderabad gave a brief note on Trade Balance between Iran and the three southern States of India which has shown a tremendous growth from 120 Million dollars three years back to 760 million dollars during the 2006 –07 financial year. Similarly gave a few suggestion for its growth to about one Billion dollar.

            Mrs. J. Geetha Reddy honorable minister for Major Industries Commerce and Sugar Government of Andhra Pradesh spoke about the Indo – Iranian Cultural ties which goes back to thousands of year and the economic reforms that has transformed the Indian economy in to a major private sector and the investment opportunities available and the encouragements given by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the foreign investors and she hoped that the frequent visits of delegations from both the sides and meetings like this will improve trade relations further.

   

Visit to Tomb of Hazrath Mir Mohammad Momin Astarabadi

     In the afternoon around 4.00 p.m on an invitation by the Iranians domiciled in Hyderabad  His Excellency visited the 400 year old tomb of Hazrath Mir Mohammad Momin the Architect of city of Hyderabad. After paying homage inaugurated the Conservation and Repair work of the Monument in presence of a gathering of many political, Religious and social Dignitaries.   

 

Inauguration of Photography Competition and Exhibition of Iranian Students

         On 13th December in the morning His Excellency  Inaugurate the  Photography Competition and Exhibition Organized jointly by the U. F. R. O ( University Foreign Relation Office) and The Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran - Hyderabad  held for Iranian Students studying in Hyderabad at ICSSR conference Hall, Osmania University. Dr. Suleiman Siddiqui Honorable Vice Chancellor was  the Chief Guest.

           The total number of photos received for this competition was 350 taken by 24 students  out of which 70 were selected for competition, and five of them got prizes which were distributed by Mr. Suleiman Siddique Vice Chancellor and H. E. Mr. Nabizadeh Ambassador of Iran. Later  Dr. Momeni head of the Student Section of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran and Mr. Kazem Dan Ispahani In charge Student section of the Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran answered the questions of the students .    

 

Meeting the Governor and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

       Later His Excellency called upon H. E. Mr. N. D. Tiwari Honorable Governor of Andhra Pradesh at Rajbhavan and discussed the matters of Mutual interest in Strengthening the  Indi- Iranian Relations.

      In the Afternoon His Excellency called on Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at Secretariat and discussed the matters of mutual interest pertaining to the trade relationship between Islamic Republic of Iran and Three Southern States of India.
