H.E. Mr. Hossein Ravesh Consul General of Islamic
Republic of Iran- Hyderabad called on Mr. Atlluri Subba Rao President
Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries on 16th
October 2007 at His Office at Red Hills.
His Excellency while greeting the New President for his
assignment gave a brief note of the economic Activities of The
Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran during the last 4 years with
the three Southern States of India such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and
Tamil Nadu. The Bilateral trade between Iran and these states has reached to
around 800 Million dollars which was 120 Million Dollars four years ago, and
about 140 Indian Companies are working with Iran Out of which around 62
companies are from Andhra Pradesh, 50 companies are from Tamil Nadu and
around 28 companies are from Karnataka.
The exports from
Iran
are about 347Million Dollars leather, Stone and Marbles, Petro-chemicals ,
food stuffs and in the field of engineering services and two Iranian
companies are working in the field of Road constructions.
The exports form these three states are around 485 Million dollars
out of which 62 companies from Andhra Pradesh specially in the field of
Pharmaceuticals , Information Technology and
other fields .And we have issued around 170 Business Visas during
this current year.
His
Excellency also suggested two things one holding a joint Conference on
Investment opportunities in Iran and Hyderabad during the month of December
which will be jointly addressed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh
Authorities and His Excellency Mr. Syed Mehdi Nabizadeh Honorable Ambassador
of Islamic Republic of Iran for India and taking of a trade Delegation by
the FAPCCI to Khorasan Province on
the Invitation of the Mashad Chamber of Commerce during the month of
February 2008.
Mr. Atluri Subba Rao president FAPCCI reciprocated and welcomed
suggestions made by His Excellency and agreed for both the proposals and is
suppose to inform the dates at the earliest . They further Discussed the
Matters of Mutual interest for further strengthening the trade Relation of
Both the Countries.
