Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran called on Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly

         His Excellency Mr. Sayed Mehdi Nabizadeh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India during his visit to Hyderabad on 4^th August 2007 called on Mr. K. Suresh Reddy, Honorable Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly at his office along with His Excellency Mr. Hossein Ravesh, Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran at Hyderabad.

         Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly while welcoming the Ambassador expressed his happiness over the development of relationship between the two countries which are age old and was pleased that His Excellency Mr. Hossein Ravesh, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran had donated carpets for religious places like Mecca Masjid, Churches and also some Temples and said this is the true sign of secularism and democracy that Iran has and respects all the religious sentiments. He further said regarding the visit of Assembly delegation head by the Speaker will soon take place and the future dates will be officially announced as the visit is pending since last more than a year after the visit of Dr. Haddad Adel, Speaker of Iran Parliament who was kind enough to extend his invitation to visit Iran.

          His Excellency Mr. Nabizadeh thanked the Speaker and said the historical relationship between Iran and India has promoted the economic ties of both the countries and especially with Hyderabad. His Excellency expressed his hope to see the visit of delegation to Iran in the near future. Later both the sides exchanged their souvenirs.
